At-Ta'dib (p-ISSN: 0216-9142 and e-ISSN: 2503-3514) is scientific journal of pesantren education. It is an international peer-reviewed and open access journal that publishes significant and important research dedicated to all aspects of current developments in the field of pesantren education. Its scope about, 1) mental, character and moral education. 2) management of pesantren education. 3) approaches, strategies, methods and education technology in pesantren. 4) design and development of curriculum in pesantren. 5) foreign language learning (Arabic & English) at pesantren.
At-Ta'dib: Journal of Pesantren Education published by Faculty of Tarbiyah, University of Darussalam Gontor, Indonesia. It is semiannual journal published in June and December for the developing the scientific ethos. We accept submission from all over the world. Our Editorial Team and Reviewers members are active international researchers in islamic education and pesantren education fields who ensure efficient, fair, and constructive peer-review process. All accepted articles will be published without payment of an article-processing charge, and will be freely available to all readers with worldwide visibility and coverage. The submitted manuscript would be check for plagiarism using by turnitin with maximum tolerance 25 percent.
At-Ta'dib: Journal of Pesantren Education is accredited by Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Republic of Indonesia Number 225/E/KPT/2022 (Grade 2/ Sinta 2) on June 2022 (Valid until 2026).
This issue of At-Ta'dib: Journal of Pesantren Education Volume 20 Number 2 (2025) presents scholarly discussions on the transformation of pesantren education in responding to contemporary educational challenges. The published articles explore various issues related to pesantren modernization, Islamic pedagogy, character education, teacher professional development, language learning, curriculum innovation, and holistic Islamic education. Several studies also examine the integration of Islamic values with modern educational approaches, including self-directed learning, scientific learning, neuropedagogy, and CEFR-based Arabic language assessment. Methodologically, the articles employ qualitative, quantitative, philosophical, comparative, and library research approaches, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary pesantren studies. This issue contributes to the growing academic discourse on Islamic education and pesantren studies, particularly in the areas of pedagogical innovation, character formation, and the modernization of Islamic educational institutions in contemporary contexts.
